Half The Gospel

Several years ago at our very first Easter service my wife was teaching in the kids class.

Our son Jack was 4 or 5 years old at the time.

During the class my wife started teaching about the resurrection of Jesus and my son took it upon himself to set the story straight...

See, a before he'd already heard the story about Jesus dying on the cross.

So he thought he had the whole story...

Needless to say as my wife taught my son stood up and said, "Jesus died!"

My wife said, "Thanks Jack. Yes, that's true but He also rose again."

"No. Jesus died."

And on and on it went...

Until eventually my wife said, "OK class, let's ignore Jack and hear the rest of the story!"

haha

I'm proud to tell you now that Jack fully believes in both halves of the Gospel!

Jesus died AND rose again!

It's a great story...and once I fully intend to use this Easter...

But it makes me wonder.

How many people in your city only have half the Gospel?

Or none of it?
